Travis Hunter’s fiancee talks about looking crazy as he took photos with fans

Leanna Lenee, fiancee of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, is setting the record straight after social media accused her of being upset with him for taking pictures with fans.

In a video posted to TikTok on Monday, Dec. 16, Lenee defended herself against claims that she upset the 21-year-old Colorado Buffaloes star during his meet-and-greet at an Adidas pop-up event. The event was held at the brand’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City on Saturday, December 14.

The assembly was followed by the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

“People say I say, ‘What am I going to do? Just sit here?’ ” she said in response to one viral clip making its rounds on social media.

According to Lenee, the Internet misunderstood the interaction.

“That’s not what I said, for one thing,” she claimed.

She went on to say that the people were Hunter’s fans but Adidas employees who got social media content with him after the event ended. She was simply trying to figure out what to do after the event.

“I said, ‘Do you want me to sit here? Or do you want me to go with the family? Or do you want me to go with you?’ Because again, what you don’t know from a seven-second clip is that they weren’t fans, by the way, he had already finished that part,” Lenee said in the TikTok, which lasts just under eight minutes.

His fiancee said she had been there “the whole time taking pictures, talking to them, everything.”

“I wasn’t annoyed at all without fans. I’m never annoyed with fans,” she continued. “So it was what it was.”

Lenee said that as Hunter was leaving the store to go to his Heisman Trophy tryout, she wanted to know if she should go with him or stay with his family — who were in the store but shopping on different floors.

She has previously stated that Hunter gave her “permission” to respond to the backlash she has faced. Fans have accused her of getting upset with him for talking to cheerleaders at a football game, saying she wasn’t his type and didn’t stand up to cheer him on when he was awarded the Heisman Trophy.

“The things that I see people come up with are really crazy,” Lenee said on TikTok. “Because that’s not what happened and I just think people just find every little thing and try to make it into something that it’s not.”

Before Lenee posted her video, Hunter also made one of his own. He told viewers on Twitch that his fiance drank heavily and cried herself to sleep after seeing the hurtful comments online.

“You hate me and then you hate my girl. I feel the same pain she feels,” Hunter said later in his video. “We are inseparable (sic), we are with each other. If she hurts, of course I will hurt.”
