Information about eVisa

Most Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) have an expiry date of 31 December 2024 – as the Home Secretary has decided to replace them with the eVisa. The eVisa is a new, digital-only way for people to show their immigration status.

The Home Secretary says people must set up an online account to access and use their eVisa. Please note that if you were granted status after 1 November 2024, the home office would need to create an eVisa for you.

For information about the eVisa and your rightssee eVisas Bust Card by the3Million and Migrants Organize at (opens in a new tab)/documents/t3m-MigrantsOrganise-eVisaBustCard-13Dec2024.pdf.
