We all need more friends like San Francisco 49ers star Brock Purdy.

To celebrate the holiday season, the former Iowa State quarterback gave his offensive linemen a brand new Toyota Sequoia or Toyota Tundra. The San Francisco 49ers team on social media shared the video of Purdy surprising eight of the 49ers’ offensive linemen.

“My mind is blown, honestly,” 49ers guard Jaylon Moore said. “This is probably the greatest gift I have received in my life.”

Being one of the lowest paid quarterbacks in the league – and the cost of living in the Bay Area not exactly the country’s cheapest — one wonders how the 24-year-old could afford to buy these vehicles, each costing between $40,000 and $60,000.

Toyota power has chipped in to the bill as Purdy signed a national endorsement deal with the Japanese automaker in February.

Brock Purdy is part of the tradition of quarterbacks giving back to their ‘bodyguards’

It has long been a tradition for NFL quarterbacks and running backs to give sometimes extravagant gifts to their offensive linemen at Christmas.

Fellow 49ers quarterback and Hall of Famer Joe Montana gave its offensive line Rolex Presidential watches in 1990. This year, Cincinnati received Bengals offensive linemen Authentic Japanese Katana swords from quarterback Joe Burrow.

One of the most unique gifts was in 2016, when-Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian gave his linemen parkas that dispense Skittles.
