Raiders force two fumbles, score 13 straight points to lead Jaguars at halftime

O’Connell returns as starter

After missing the Raiders’ Monday Night Football game against Atlanta with a knee injury, quarterback Aidan O’Connell returned to make his fifth start of the season. The offense got off to a slow start as sacks and negative plays led to punts on the Raiders’ first two possessions. But on their third drive, O’Connell got things going with a career-long 13-yard run.

He then completed passes to Jakobi Meyers (24 yards) and Tre Tucker (29 yards) to move the ball to the Jaguars one-yard line. Alexander Mattison capped the drive with his fourth rushing touchdown of the season to tie the game at 7-7. O’Connell was 10-of-17 for 155 passing yards in the first half. He also led the team with 18 rushing yards.

Daniel Carlson converted on both of his field goal attempts to push the Raiders’ lead to six after 30 minutes of play.
