Panthers up 30-20 after Bryce Young’s second TD pass

The Panthers saw a 17-point first-half lead dwindle to three points, but they came back with two scores in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Bryce Young dropped a dime into wide receiver David Moore’s hands for an 18-yard score. Eddy Pineiro’s extra point put the Panthers up 30-20 with 12:04 left to play in Charlotte.

It was the second touchdown pass of the game for Young, and it came two plays after he caught the equalizer while throwing a dart to tight end Tommy Tremble for a 12-yard gain. Young had a rough outing against the Cowboys last week, but he rebounded well on Sunday and also ran for a score to help the Panthers’ attempt to destroy the Cardinals’ dwindling playoff hopes.

Those hopes will all but be extinguished if Kyler Murray can’t mount a comeback, so the final minutes of this one could be the last meaningful minutes of the season for Arizona.
