NFL Week 16: Seahawks vs. Vikings 1st quarter game thread

The Seattle Seahawks (8-6) have been terrible at home this season. They are already doomed to a losing record (3-5) at Lumen Field, and another loss would be their most at home since 2008.

It won’t be easy to get out of a home funk against a Minnesota Vikings team that is 12-2 and has won seven straight. Sam Darnold is in line for a sizable payday with his career-best season under head coach Kevin O’Connell, and it’s possible that Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores could be in line for another head coaching job with the way Minnesota’s defense is playing in a elite level.

But this is the NFL and you should never assume that the better team on paper will win 100% of the time. If there was ever a time for the Seahawks to keep their season afloat with a shocking upset, it’s now. They really don’t have a “signature win” of the season, and this could be it.

FOX has kickoff at 1:05 PM PT.
