Winning numbers drawn for Mega Millions jackpot of $862 million

The Mega Millions Jackpot rose to $862 million for Friday’s drawing after no single ticket won the jackpot on Tuesday, the lottery said.

The winning numbers were 2, 20, 51, 56, 57 and gold Mega Ball 19.

The jackpot prize has a cash value of $392.1 million, which can be offered as a one-time payment or an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments.

If there are no winners from Friday’s draw, the next draw will take place on Tuesday 24 December.

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won for $810 million in Texas on September 10th.

The $862 million total is the seventh largest prize in Mega Millions history. The largest Mega Millions prize ever won was $1.6 billion in August 2023.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350 according to Mega Millions.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. Tickets are $2 a game.
