Should the Pittsburgh Steelers bring back controversial receiver after recent release?

After being suspended by Baltimore Ravens for refusing to participate in the fight against Philadelphia EaglesThe Ravens have officially released wide receiver Diontae Johnson after acquiring him from Carolina Panthers prior to the NFL trade deadline.

Johnson has had a crazy year. In January, he played for the Steelers in a playoff game. In March, he was dealt to the Panthers in exchange for Donte Jackson and a trade before being shipped to Baltimore in the middle of the season. Now he’s without a team, which begs the question – should the Steelers bring him back for the playoffs?

The obvious answer is yes. Sometimes it takes seeing what’s on the other side to realize it wasn’t greener after all. Johnson would immediately be the No. 2 receiver for the Steelers on the perimeter. And even if they were to get him acclimated to the offense, they would have a few weeks to do so prior to the postseason. The move makes all the sense and Pittsburgh should bring Johnson back.
