Suns’ Devin Booker shutout vs. Pacers with tightness in the groin

The Phoenix Suns ruled out guard Devin Booker for the rest of Thursday’s game against the Indiana Pacers after he left in the third period with left groin tightness, the team said.

Booker left the game with 5:18 left in the third period, jogging to the tunnel during a timeout.

Booker played 25 minutes and gave the Suns 17 points on 5-for-10 shooting, six assists and two rebounds before exiting the game.

The Suns’ Big 3 returned to full strength Thursday after Bradley Beal missed the last two games with knee inflammation and Kevin Durant sat out the previous three with an ankle sprain.

Booker had been consistent as he did not miss a game this season. Entering Thursday, Booker was averaging 25.4 points, 6.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 25 games played.

He missed time with a groin problem a couple of years ago when he suffered a left groin strain on Christmas Day back in 2022-23 that kept him out for the entirety of January.

The Suns struggled in the third quarter after trailing 60-59 at halftime as the Pacers built a 97-83 advantage into the fourth period.
