Broncos WR Devaughn Vele extends lead in Denver on Thursday Night Football

After Denver took just five plays to go 54 yards, Vele capped the efficient drive with a catch in the left side of the end zone.

In the first half against Los Angeles, Vele caught two passes for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Last week, the former Ute had his worst match as a professional. He was only targeted once, and it ended up being his first game without a reception.

Against the Chargers, he made up for that earlier performance by scoring his first touchdown in a month.

Through 10 games played this season, Vele had 33 receptions for 377 yards and a touchdown.

The Broncos are in the middle of the playoff race in the AFC with a 9-5 record.

He went on to play five seasons in Utah. During his time in Salt Lake City, Vele recorded 123 receptions for 1,689 yards and nine touchdowns in 47 games played. Eight of Veles’ touchdowns came in his final two seasons in Utah.

The wideout helped the Utes win back-to-back Pac-12 Conference championships in 2021 and 2022.

Vele declared for the 2024 NFL Draft in December 2023.
