Final score, highlights from blowout win

The Memphis Grizzlies never let up Golden State Warriors feel they had a chance Thursday night at FedExForum.

A foul was called on Golden State’s Kevon Looney on the opening tip against Zach Edey, and it felt like everything was going the Grizzlies’ way after that.

Memphis jumped out to an 8-0 run and never let up in its most dominant win of the season. The Grizzlies defeated the Warriors 144-93.

Memphis got strong performances up and down the offense on offense, but it was the defensive effort that led to the win.

The Grizzlies (19-9) held Warriors star Steph Curry to two points and no field goals in 24 minutes. Draymond Green also finished the game scoreless in 19 minutes.

All 12 active Grizzlies scored during Thursday’s rout. Santi Aldama led the Grizzlies with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Jaren Jackson Jr. dealt with foul trouble in the first half but still finished with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Yes Morant left Thursday’s game with 9:09 left in the third quarter after falling on his back. He was considered questionable to return due to back soreness, but the game was out of reach.

The 51-point win was the Grizzlies’ biggest ever win over Golden State (14-12). It was also the NBA’s lopsided win this season.

Memphis returns to action on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks (6:30 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network).
