Watch video of the earthquake that shook northern Louisiana

SHREVEPORT, LA – There is now a confirmed report of an earthquake in the Shreveport Bossier City area.

The US Geological Survey website confirms a 3.3 earthquake early Thursday morning in the Uncertain, Texas area. But this earthquake was felt across Shreveport and Bossier. Many residents of Blanchard, Mooringsport and Oil City are also reported to have felt the shaking.

US Geological Survey reports that the earthquake apparently lasted less than five seconds.

There is no informational report yet on damage or injuries from this mild earthquake.

Another Blanchard resident, Janice Sartor White says she lives in Quiet Acres and the earthquake “knocked pictures off the wall and China’s cabinet messed everything up. Scared us to death!”
