I don’t care what the internet says, there are real lovers out there and this sweet wedding story from Yvette Nicole Brown and Anthony Davis proves it

Get your tissues ready, because things are about to get really emotional in here! Yvette Nicole Brown shared the special gift her husband gave her on their big day that left her in tears.

The recently Emmy-nominated actor tied knot with Anthony Davis in a dream wedding on December 14 – a day the 53-year-old star wasn’t sure would ever come.

The two met in their 20s and reunited in 2021 after Yvette’s mother died. They dated for three years before taking their relationship to the next level. According to Peoplethe couple married in front of 200 of their closest family and friends in what she described as an “intimate, classy and fun” ceremony in Los Angeles.

And in a recent interview with Entertainment tonightthe Community star gave fans a sneak peek into her wedding by sharing one of the things that made the first day one she’ll never forget.

“My husband surprised me with my father,” Yvette said in a tearful response. “He’s wheelchair bound and when we were planning the wedding I didn’t think it was possible for him to be here.”

“I put a picture of him on my bouquet because I knew he couldn’t be here. And he was here. It was the best surprise ever.”

She then brought her father into the camera and kissed him softly as she reflected on the moment.

Anthony then explained how he was able to pull off the surprise by secretly coordinating it with her father’s carers: “I planned this from the very beginning. We called each other on the phone… I was behind the bushes.”

“The look on her face when she saw him, that was everything. It was all worth it.”
