Ashanti wore gold-encrusted high heels from Tom Ford to husband Nelly’s black and white prom in St. Louis

Ashanti dressed up for her husband Nelly‘s annual black-and-white ball in St. Louis on Dec. 15 in a themed black sequin dress and matching Tom Ford heeled sandals. This year, the event raised funds for Make a Wish Missouri and Harris-Stowe State University, an HBCU in St. Louis.

Ashanti made an impression in a fitted long-sleeved dress with a high neckline. The sequined garment featured a subtle vertical stripe design in addition to gold button detailing and a cut out back. Her hair was slicked back into a long, swingy style and she brought a pop of color to the event with a red lip. She also carried a dazzling black purse.

The “silly” singer chose a glamorous pair of T-strap shoes from Tom Ford’s Titan line to elevate her outfit. The sandals had a slim, black reptile-embossed strap across the toes that revealed a dark manicure; this was attached to a thin gold chain with a vertical orientation, creating the T shape. The shoe also featured a gold colored stiletto heel and quarter over a black ankle strap. From Saks Fifth Avenue, the sandals are currently on sale for $2,130.

In addition to Ne-Yo and other stars, Ashanti and Nelly took to the stage together at the event. A clip of the singer backstage showed her removing her heels before taking to the stage with her husband. Following the couple’s reunion, an upcoming reality series focusing on their lives is reportedly in production.

Ashanti has shown a myriad of high fashion looks this year. She recently wore Jennifer Le boots with a sheer black dress. At the Baby2Baby gala held in November, she wore a bright red dress with matching bow embellished heeled sandals. In another notable sartorial moment for the musician, she wore denim boots by Dolce & Gabbana while performing the national anthem at the World Series in October.
