Sydney Sweeney responds to comments about her body after bikini photos go viral

Sydney Sweeney just expertly shut down insults about her body on social media.

Over the weekend, the “Euphoria” star, 27, got posted a video on Instagram with a montage of screenshots of the many unpleasant comments internet trolls have made about her appearance.

“Whoever this person is, she has a horrible body,” read one comment, while another wrote that she looked “very fat.”

Another person added: “Let’s be real here, her body isn’t that incredible, just saying…”

The actor seemed to have caught the comments of a recent Daily Mail storywhich included photos of Sweeney strolling around in a bikini soaking up some sun at her Florida Keys home.

In her Friday post, the “Immaculate” star then hit back at her haters by clipping her workout regimen from her role as pro boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming untitled biopic.

Sweeney is seen picking up a massive tire, lifting weights, boxing and flexing his muscles in the shoot. The biopic, which also stars Ben Foster and Katy O’Brian, has yet to announce a release date.

Sweeney’s more than 23 million followers showed support for the star’s slap back at her haters in the comments section, including her “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell.

“You are such a badass. This movie will be (four emoji),” Powell wrote.

Another commented: “Girl you look AMAZING. They all sound jealous.”

“Wretched, lost, deeply insecure people,” another person said of the naysayers.

Sweeney first gave her fans a first look at her shocking transformation as Martin in the David Michôd-directed film back in October.

“Over the past few months, I have been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman – a true champion who fought battles both in and out of the ring,” she wrote on Instagram along with pictures of her behind the scenes. “Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength and hope, and I am honored to step into her shoes to share her powerful story with all of you.”

In May, the “Madame Web” star spoke about the importance of portraying Martin on screen, noting that it has been “physically and emotionally demanding.”

“Christy’s story is not easy, it is physically and emotionally demanding, there is a lot of weight to carry,” she told Deadline then. “But I love to challenge myself. Christy Martin not only legitimized female boxing, she overcame gender stereotypes and fought through emotional, physical and financial abuse.”
