Arkansas State men’s basketball rallies from 27 down, beats UAB in overtime

BIRMINGHAM (KAIT) – Arkansas State’s 9th win in 2024-25 marks one of the biggest comebacks in program history.

The Red Wolves men’s basketball rallied from a 27-point 1st half deficit and a 25-point halftime deficit to beat UAB 98-89. Taryn Todd led A-State with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Kobe Julien had 25 points. Izaiyah Nelson (16 points, 14 rebounds) & Rashaud Marshall (14 points, 13 rebounds) each posted double doubles in the win. Joseph Pinion also scored in double figures, he had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.

The Red Wolves improve to 9-3 on the season. A-State is on a 4-game winning streak. They tip Sun Belt games at home on Saturday, Dec. 21. Arkansas State hosts Coastal Carolina at 2pm at First National Bank Arena.
