The Oklahoma City Thunder have extended their stay in Las Vegas. They enjoyed one 111-96 win over Houston Rockets in the NBA Cup semifinals in 2024.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 32 points and went 14-of-15 from the free throw line. Jalen Williams helped with 20 points. Isaiah Hartenstein had 21 points and Lu Dort had 19 points.

Meanwhile, the Rockets struggled to score. Alpine Sengun was limited to 13 points and 11 rebounds. Fred VanVleet had just eight points.

The thunder will meet Milwaukee Bucks in the 2024 NBA Cup Finals on Tuesday, December 17. The winner receives the top prize of $500,000 for each player. The 83rd game does not count towards the regular season standings.

The Bucks advanced with a 110-102 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 32 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists. Damian Lillard contributed 25 points and seven assists.

This should be an exciting contest between MVP candidates. Gilgeous-Alexander and Antetokounmpo will put on a show. It also means that both teams will play three times this year. Possibly more if they match up in the 2025 NBA Finals.
