Officer, another fatally shot in West TN incident

SELMER, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) confirmed an officer and another person were shot and killed in an incident in McNairy County.

The TBI said 25th Judicial District Attorney General Mark Davidson asked them to investigate what led to the shooting involving officers from the Selmer Police Department.

It happened in the 100 block of New Bethel Road in Selmer, TN, Saturday afternoon.

No other details are available at this time. The TBI said it will provide more information about the incident later Saturday night once agents have preliminary information.
