The Music City Bowl marks Brady Cook’s final game as a Tiger | Mizzou Xtra

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Missouri football meets Iowa at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Music City Bowl in Nashville — a game that will mark quarterback Brady Cook’s final game as a Mizzou Tiger.

Cook will finish his career with the Tigers in the top five in nearly every statistical category, including passing yards and passing touchdowns.

A win in the Music City Bowl would give Cook 21 wins — which would rank him second among Mizzou quarterbacks all-time.

The back-to-back SEC Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year has had to struggle this season, missing time with injuries to his shoulder, wrist and ankle.

The Tigers will face the Iowa Hawkeyes at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Nashville

Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz that Cook will play Monday proves that the quarterback exemplifies an era of college football that many believe has long been forgotten.

“As long as it was his call, he was going to play,” Drinkwitz said. “And that’s rare these days. For him to be out there this week, with so much, a bright future ahead of him, he wasn’t going to miss it. Because it means something to play with his teammates — it means something to put on that Missouri Tiger uniform.”

KOMU 8 will have full coverage of the Music City Bowl before, during and after the game.
