‘Doug’, ‘Big Time Rush’, ‘Blue’s Room’ and more

Paramount+ is removing Nickelodeon titles from its library, including some major properties like Doug, blue’s room, and Big Time Rushh.

December has seen Doug taken by the streamer. The animated series premiered in 1991 on Nickelodeon and ran for four seasons. Doug was one of the earliest titles of “Nicktoons” in the 1990s, which would later include shows such as Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern Life, Aaaah!! Real monsters, Hey Arnold! and more.

Other titles purged from Paramount+ include My life as a teenage robot and shows based on DreamWorks Animation films such as Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and The penguins of Madagascar.

Fantastic TV, Dependents, Play Shakers, House of Anubis, Let’s just play: Go Healthy Challenge, Welcome to Wayne, Wonderful petsand Zoofari was also removed from Paramount+.

Recently, Paramount+ users have reported that other titles have been removed from the streamer as well ALVIN!!! and the Chipmunks, Blow room, Big Time Rush, Faces music party, Fanboy & Chum Chum, Ni Hao, Kai-Lin, Oobi, Sanjay and Craig, The Upside Down Showand Tot Cop.

Blow room was based on the Nick Jr. series Blue’s Clues. The spin-off originally aired on Nickelodeon as part of Nick Jr. the programming block that aired short segments during the lead role Blue’s Clues show between 2004 and 2007. The shorts were made available on the Noggin app in 2015 before being removed in 2020. CBS All Access (now known as Paramount+) added the show to its library in 2021, where it had resided until now.

Big Time Rush was a sitcom that aired on Nickelodeon for four seasons between 2009 and 2013. The series followed the Big Time Rush group playing a fictional version of themselves.

The title purges are part of the company’s normal process of removing and adding titles, which occurs on a monthly and quarterly basis, a Paramount spokesman said.
