Ending 2024 with a BIG thaw BUT make sure you plan around the rain

CLEVELAND — A few showers will be possible overnight, along with steady temperatures. Most areas will only see the mid to upper 40s.

We can get outside again without gloves and scarves, but don’t forget to plan around the rain this weekend.

We are dry most of Saturday, but not all day. Plan for a few isolated showers under cloudy skies. Temperatures will be well above average as highs will be around 60 Saturday afternoon!

More widespread and heavier rain is expected for most of Sunday. The biggest chance of rain should be in the first half of Sunday with a slow decline in coverage Sunday evening and Monday morning. 0.50 – 1.25 inches of rain will be possible on Sunday. A few storms will be possible Sunday, with the possibility of gusty winds.

The cold comes back right after the new year. Plan for cool rain changing to a wintry mix New Year’s Eve into the first of the year.
