The Powerball jackpot once again remains unclaimed after the Christmas Day draw, but one lucky ticket produced a Christmas miracle.

Had anyone won Wednesday’s drawing, they would have taken home an estimated $124 million jackpot, which had an estimated cash value of $56 million, according to the lottery.

But since no one won, the Powerball jackpot has ballooned to a whopping $145 million with an estimated cash value of $66.2 million.

The jackpot was reset to $20 million on December 7 after the $256 million winning ticket was sold in New York.

In October, a lucky Georgia player won the $478 million jackpot, and in August, a lucky California player won a $44.3 million Powerball jackpot. The week before, a Pennsylvania player won a $213.8 million jackpot.

How to play Powerball

To buy a $2 Powerball ticket, visit your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store—and in a handful of states, you can buy tickets online.

To play, select a total of six numbers to mark on your ticket. Five numbers will be white balls from the numbers 1 to 69. The Powerball is red and a number between 1 and 26.

If you want to increase your chances of winning, you can add a “Power Play” for $1, which increases the winnings of all non-jackpot prizes. This addition can multiply winnings by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5Xor 10X.

Players can also ask a cashier for a “Quick Pick,” where a cashier will give you computer-generated numbers on a printed Powerball ticket.

Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings. If there is no jackpot winner, the prize money will increase by millions.
