It’s been an awfully quiet year by Tyreek Hill’s lofty standards. After becoming the first receiver in NFL history with back-to-back 1,700-yard seasons, Hill needs a strong finish to even break 1,000 yards this season.

There’s a good chance he’ll miss the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, and some have claimed that he is washed.

“If it’s going down, it is what it is. A lot of people have their opinions. I’m here to do my job,” Hill told reporters Thursday. “I’m just here to be the best version of myself. I’m comfortable with that, my teammates know who I am. I’m going to continue to work my tail off every day at practice because that’s just my mindset.

“I’ve always been an underdog. Fifth-round draft pick, people said I wasn’t here, people said I wasn’t. So when I stayed, it was like, ‘Oh, he can be.’ , but now it’s ‘I decline.’People will always have something to say whether you do well or badly, I’m just grateful to be in the spotlight right now.

Hill, who earlier this year was named the No. 1 player in the annual NFL Top 100, signed a restructured deal with the Dolphins earlier this year that will keep him with the franchise through the 2026 season.

In 14 games this year, Hill has 67 receptions for 805 yards and five touchdowns. He recorded at least seven offensive touchdowns in each of the first eight seasons of his career.
