First warning headlines

· MUCH colder weather this coming weekend.

· Low temperatures will drop back into the 20s by the middle of next week,

· A lot of sunshine will remain in place.

Overview of first warning

Good evening my friends! A big change of pace is planned soon for South Carolina with a passing cold front.

Behind this cold front we are getting much colder! You’ll notice it as soon as Friday afternoon, with highs only reaching the mid and upper 50s. It will be windy at times to end the week, with gusts up to 20 MPH possible.

We will be even colder this weekend. Lower temperatures will begin to drop below freezing Saturday morning. ONE First alarm weather day has been issued in conjunction with a Freeze Watch in the South Midlands on Saturday morning. Tuesday morning a hard freeze is possible across the Midlands as lows drop into the 20s! This has prompted another First alarm weather day until Tuesday morning.

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy. Lower near 40 degrees.

Friday: The sky will clear for sunshine during the afternoon. Highs in the mid and upper 50s.

(First Alert Weather Day) Saturday: Freeze Keep an eye on the South Midlands in the morning. Then a sky full of sunshine. Highlights in the mid-50s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highlights in the mid-50s.

Monday: Only a few clouds. Height about 50 degrees.

(First Alert Weather Day) Tuesday: A hard frost in the morning with some low 20s. So sunny skies. Temperatures close to 50 degrees.
