Arcane season 3 coming to Netflix?

The final batch of episodes for the second season of Arcane have dropped on Netflix. But is it the end of the show?League of Legends creator Marc Merill cleared up the confusion over a scrapped Arcane Season 3 (and beyond) in a recent post on Reddit. He wrote: “The confusion is because internally there was a budget conversation about ‘5 season approval’ – which simply means we allocated a lot of money to a lot of development and is completely irrelevant to the Arcane creative. The creative and making something awesome is what should always be a priority for Riot and our team.”

There have been conflicting reports as to why Arcane is ending its second season. While the creative team behind the show has repeatedly emphasized that the decision was creative, bringing the story they wanted to tell to a timely conclusion, a report from Variety has suggested that it was actually a matter of budgeting.

This reveal came along with the release of the first season-two trailer, months before the new episodes were scheduled to stream.
