PIRELLI STRATEGY GUIDE: What are the tactical options for the Las Vegas Grand Prix?

Formula 1’s most eccentric track has produced the season’s most exciting grid. George Russell takes his third pole position of the year, while the two drivers’ title challengers share the third row: Max Verstappen down fifth, but ahead of rival Lando Norris. Ahead of them, the wild card of both Ferrari and Pierre Gasly – an excellent third for Alpine – makes things very interesting.

Let’s not get too excited about grid position though – this isn’t one of those races where it’s going to prove decisive. It’s a circuit that offers plenty of overtaking opportunities, but also pitfalls for those who go too hard, too early. Either way, the right strategy will be crucial…
