Kolhapur South Election Results: BJP's Amal Mahadik leads Congress's Ruturaj Patil by 15374 votes

In Kolhapur South, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Amal Mahadik is leading against Congress’s Ruturaj Patil by 15,374 votes, with 14 out of 23 rounds of counting already done.
The Kolhapur South seat was earlier won by Indian National Congress candidate Ruturaj Sanjay Patil in the 2019 assembly elections.
According to the initial results, the Mahayuti alliance is leading with the 220 seats, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading with 126 seats leading the charge in Maharashtra.

Assembly election results

The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena (SHS) follows closely with 54 seats. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, is leading with 40 seats.
The 2019 elections initially brought the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to power. However, a series of alliances and splits led to the formation of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government headed by Uddhav Thackeray.
This government was later dissolved after internal changes led to the formation of the Mahayuti, consisting of the Shinde-led Sena and the BJP, with Eknath Shinde as Chief Minister. In the last assembly elections, the Karvir constituency saw PN Patil (Sadolikar) of the Indian National Congress win by a margin of 22,661 votes. A total of 255,129 votes were cast out of 302,659 registered voters.
This constituency numbered 274 has a total of 3,251,192 registered voters.
Other smaller parties including Swatantra Bharat Paksha (STBP), Indian Secular Largest Assembly of Maharashtra (DISECL), CPI(M), Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi (BVA) and Rajarshi Shahu Vikas Aghadi (RSVA) are leading in one seat each.
