Ed Sheeran, Richard Curtis and Claudia Jessie tease festive advertising as the unlikely trio discuss favorite Christmas movies

Ed Sheeran, Richard Curtis and Claudia Jessie have teased a celebratory announcement as they unexpectedly got together on social media.

The Grammy winner, 33, British screenwriter, 68, and the Bridgerton star, 35, got together to discuss their favorite Christmas movies on Friday.

Taking to Instagram, Ed shared a clip of Claudia revealing her festive flick of choice to become A Muppets Christmas Carols – much to the horror of Love Actually screenwriter Richard.

Sharing the clip, Ed teased that the surprise trio were getting ready to make a big announcement, writing: “Me, Richard Curtis and Claudia Jessie have something fun for you next week.”

The clip begins when Claudia is asked about her favorite Christmas movie and replies: ‘A Muppets Christmas Carol’.

It is at this point that Richard appears and is heard saying: ‘What the hell? A Muppet Christmas Carol?’

Into the frame comes Shape Of You hitmaker Ed, who adds: “I always watch A Muppets Christmas Carol before Love Actually.”

‘Ohhh okay,’ Richard replies as the camera pans back to Claudia, who says: ‘That was bad timing. I kind of forgot where I was.’

It comes as MailOnline revealed an almighty row between Ed and one of his relatives has boiled over as his cousin launched an extraordinary online rant claiming the £375m megastar is trying to destroy him.

Jethro Sheeran, a Bristol rapper, has accused Ed of personally ordering his record label Warner Music to threaten him with legal action – calling him a ‘silverback’ and urging fellow artist Stormzy to ‘talk’ to him.

The row centers on his claims that Ed personally ordered Warner to force Jethro to remove both his name and face from the artwork of a remix of one of their previous collaborations.

Jethro, who goes by the stage name Alonestar, previously called the British star his ‘brother’ – but today he declared: ‘Ed. I’m not a fan, can’t you just live your life? Leave me alone to do my thing and you do yours.

The family row boiled over in September when Warner Music demanded he remove Ed’s face and name from the artwork for Raise Em Up – a song they recorded together 14 years ago.

Ed shared the clip and teased that the surprise trio were getting ready to make a big announcement as he wrote:

The 42-year-old complied but said he and his lawyers were ‘shocked’ that Ed would ‘be able to do this to the family’.

And today MailOnline can reveal that Jethro has added fuel to the flames again in a candid Facebook post, saying he had to tell the ‘truth’ about his famous cousin.

Not only did he claim the singer commissioned the legal warning from Warner Music, he claims the label’s own lawyer was ‘shocked’ by the decision.

And he seems to suggest that it wasn’t just the artwork that had to be changed, Jethro has accused Ed of ‘taken (sic) down all my songs’.

‘I’m so tired of lying and withholding the truth. Everyone blames lawyers and managers. Warner Music UK lawyer was also shocked like my lawyers why in this case she was activated by Ed Sheeran.

‘It was all Ed. I don’t care anymore, I won’t lie to him’, he said.

He accused Ed of taking down ‘all my songs’.

‘Those songs help my daughter, my mother, our Sheeran family, to be safe and eat and survive, it’s him, disgusting and disgraceful, and I write and produce the songs’.

Urging his more famous cousin to leave him alone, he wrote: ‘Go on a pop tour with someone please bro.. bring Stormzy… I know a lot.. Edward don’t snap anymore leave me alone in peace to do my thing and you do yours. Storme has a word with this silver spoon oddball ..god bless all’.

MailOnline contacted Ed and Warner Music for comment.
