LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Several SWLA teams are still in contention for a state title as we begin the regional round of the high school football playoffs.

After last week’s game between Lake Arthur and Ferriday players, both teams were eliminated from the playoffs. Welsh, who were to play the winner of that match, automatically progress to the quarter-finals.
