South Carolina high school football class AAAAA Division 2 playoffs 2024: tournament bracket, latest results

As identified in the state’s On3 Composite Rankings, some top teams in South Carolina high school football compete in the Class AAAAA Division 2 state tournament. The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) is sanctioning this competition, which started on November 15th.

Only two of the 24 teams that qualified for the tournament will advance to the state championship on Dec. 13. Meanwhile, the SCHSL splits the field into upstate and downstate teams. Meanwhile, On3 tracks the playoffs, latest scores and game schedules for the South Carolina Class AAAAA Div. 2.

The On3 Composite High School Football Team Ranking is a proprietary algorithm that compiles rankings listed in the public domain by respected High School media and data companies. It includes Massey, Max Preps, Cal Preps, ESPN and SI, creating the industry’s most comprehensive and geographically balanced High School Team Ranking.

In April 2024, the South Carolina High School League’s executive committee voted to split Class AAAAA into two divisions for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. This decision meant having different Division 1 and 2 champions for all sports, including football.

The 28 largest schools comprised Class AAAAA’s Division 1, while the remaining 26 compete in Division 2. Prior to this development, Class AAAA had two divisions. But AAAAA’s creation returned Class AAAA to a single division.
