Lonzo Ball is hyped after hustle leads to Zach LaVine Alley-Oop Slam

Lonzo Ball made it feel like 2021 at the United Center on Friday night.

With a loose ball bouncing toward halfcourt, the Bulls’ point guard turned on the jets. He sprinted from under the basket to the logo, challenging two much closer Charlotte Hornets to catch the ball. As he began to fly toward the rim, Zach LaVine was already there to meet him. The ball immediately threw up an underhand lob that the two-time All-Star emphatically threw down.

The ball immediately looked towards an inflated bench and walked high up the pitch to celebrate. The moment felt straight out of Ball’s exciting first 35 games with the Bulls.

Enjoy! So enjoy it again!

How can you not get emotional about basketball?

While the moment is a reminder of the two efforts Ball brings to the floor, it’s also a reminder of how hard he’s worked to get back to this point. The guard missed over two years with a knee injury and underwent surgery that no NBA player has ever battled back from. The fact that he’s back out there and moving this well is such a wonderful story in what otherwise feels like a dull season.
