Kristin Chenoweth claps back at One Million Moms’ ‘Wicked’ boycott

The original Galinda would like to have a word with One Million Moms!

Broadway legend and gay icon Kristin Chenoweth knows she’s “nothing without my gays” and as the right-wing hate group One Million Moms tries to catch up LGBTQ+ community, she will not stand idly by.

Chenoweth, who originated the role of Glinda in the Broadway version of Evilcommented Out‘s latest Instagram post about One Million Moms’ ridiculous attempt at a boycott of Evil film.

“Everyone knows ‘a million moms’ is just a few hundred. Maybe,” she wrote with an eye-rolling emoji. “It’s called entertainment. Artistry. I’m a Christian woman (who) originated the role of Glinda and all the stupidity these women spew out of hate. No no no. I can’t help it: I try to love them anyway For they don’t get it She ended the post with a series of heart emojis.

This is far from the only time Chenoweth has shared her love for the queer community Evil film press tour.

While at the Los Angeles premiere of the film, Chenoweth stopped by to talk Out on the red carpet.

“I love the gays,” she said before bursting into song“I’m nothing without my gays!”

In one interview with Gay TimesAriana Grande, who plays Glinda in the film, said that “Glinda might be a little in the closet. You never know. Give it a little more time,” when asked about fans shipping Elphaba and Glinda romantically.

Chenoweth watched that clip and shared her own thoughts, saying “I thought that way back when…” referring to her time playing the character.
