SpaceX Falcon 9 takes off from Vandenberg SFB on Friday

UPDATE (2:08 p.m.) – SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink satellites lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 13:55 Friday.

The first stage booster landed on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean about eight minutes after takeoff.

SpaceX says this is the 100th drone ship landing of the year.

(Thursday, December 12) – SpaceX aims for the launch Friday morning of a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Liftoff is targeted at 11:28, with backup options reportedly available until 15:04

If necessary, SpaceX officials say additional options are also available on Saturday from 10:48 am

The launch is set to send 22 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.

Company officials say this is the ninth flight for the first stage booster supporting the mission.

That booster is scheduled to land on the drone ship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific Ocean.
