WEST LAFAYETTE – In 2018, Jake Trump played 13 games for Barry Odom’s Missouri Tigers.

Now, Trump will work under Odom for the second time, this time as defensive backs coach for Purdue football.

Trump is coming Boilermakers from Arkansas and joined defensive line coach Kelvin Green on the move.

After playing for Odom’s Tigers in Missouri, he joined Arkansas’ staff working under Odom during his time as defensive coordinator.

Trump has worked the past five seasons at Arkansas as defensive quality control.

“Jake’s experience will be extremely valuable in the development of our program,” Odom said in a press release. “He has worked his way up in the coaching profession and continues to make an impact every step of the way. His ability to recruit, connect with players and train his group will be huge for our team. Jake understands our defensive philosophy by helping to build it through the years as a player and as a coach.”
