Winter Storm Asher is set to blanket northeastern Wisconsin with snow

(WLUK) — Our first named winter storm of the season will move into the area on Thursday.

Winter Storm Asher is expected to start after the Thursday morning commute and will be stable throughout the day. Most of the area will pick up between 4 and 7 inches of accumulation early Friday morning.

Lakeshore counties could pick up 8 inches total as heavier bands of snow push through late afternoon and overnight.

Expect road conditions to become dangerous as the day wears on.

As of Wednesday morning, the center of Winter Storm Asher is just outside of Calgary and will track through the Dakotas, Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois for the next 36 hours. Prepare for Winter Storm Asher today before the storm hits.

This snow is about to end on Friday morning. Roads may still be slippery and snowy, especially secondary roads. There’s another chance to collect snow on Monday, just in time for the Packers game.
