NFL star Myles Garrett tears off his helmet in agony after suffering a terrifying head injury

Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett was left screaming in agony after suffering a scary eye injury against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The defensive end was up against Joe Thuney in the first half at Ohio when he appears to have been accidentally poked in the eye.

In disturbing scenes, Garrett can be seen ripping off his helmet in agony before slamming it onto the turf and then falling to his knees himself.

Patrick Mahomes quickly approaches and frantically gestures for the medics to rush to Garrett’s aid before he is tended to on the field.

Shortly after, he left with his towel over his head and was officially listed as questionable to return with an eye injury.

As he walked off the field, Thuney can be seen apologizing for the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year.

Garrett quickly ripped off the helmet, despite the game continuing on the field in Cleveland

Garrett may be the Browns’ star man, having been First Team All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowler during his career.

On Sunday, however, he got the job done against the Chiefs offense, which quickly went up by two scores in Cleveland.

Noah Gray and JuJu Smith-Schuster were the Chiefs’ touchdown scorers, and the absence of Garrett in the backfield makes the Browns’ tough task just a little bit harder.

On social media, one fan wrote of Garrett’s injury: ‘Please be ok’, while another added: ‘Oh damn you know he’s hurt.’

Others, meanwhile, claimed his ‘theatrics’ were too much to poke their eye at, and urged him to get up and continue the game.

The Browns were 3-10 in their matchup with the Chiefs, who sat at the bottom of the AFC North.
