Update 21:07

Some power is back mostly south of the original fault with 1600 customers having service restored. City Light projects restoration tonight.

One reader shared, “the start of the power outage started at my house when a tree fell down the hill, took out the power lines next to my house and part of my car. The cause was not the transformer, the cause was the tree that went down by my house and took the power up here and then went down to the beach and blew the transformer because when our lights went out there was still lights on Beach Drive.”
