Three Mega Millions tickets in Ohio win $10,000

(WJW) – The Mega Millions jackpot continues to rise after no ticket was lucky enough to match all six numbers drawn on Friday night.

Now, lottery officials say “The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever offered in the month of December will be up for grabs next Tuesday, December 17th, just in time for the holidays!”

The jackpot is one an estimated $740 million.

And while no one won Friday night’s jackpot, there were still several lucky tickets worth noting.

According to lottery officials, four tickets won the game’s second place prize of $1 million. These tickets were sold in California, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont. The ticket sold in Vermont also matched the game’s ‘Megaplier’ to triple their winnings to $3 million.

Around the country, 28 tickets won the game’s third-tier prize of $10,000. Four of those 28 tickets were lucky enough to match the ‘Megaplier’ and triple their winnings to $30,000.

According to Ohio lottery officials, of the $10,000 worth of winning tickets, three were sold in the Buckeye State. Information about where in Ohio the lucky tickets were purchased was not immediately released.

Friday’s numbers were: White balls 36, 43, 52, 58 and 65, plus Mega Ball 16 in gold.

According to the Ohio Lottery odds to win The Mega Millions jackpot is only 1 in 302,575,350.
