Tyler police say missing boys have been found and will soon be reunited with family

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – An AMBER Alert was issued for two children believed to be missing from Tyler around 1 a.m. Friday. Tyler police said the 3- and 4-year-old boys were seen on video getting into a vehicle, but around 1:30 p.m. they have been found and are returning to their family.

According to Tyler Police Department PIO Andy Erbaugh, officers responded around 7:10 a.m. to a critical missing call at 4123 S. Park Drive at the Evergreen Apartments. The caller said their two children had not been seen since 10 p.m. 22 on December 12.

The missing children have been identified as Legend Sanford, 3, last seen wearing a blue Paw Patrol shirt with black/red/white pants, and Kannon O’Neal, 4, last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants with blue and red stripes . Police said the boys are brothers.

Police said there were no signs of foul play and no information on their mental/physical status Friday morning.

In an interview, Lt. Luke Shafer said the children were seen on Ring camera video getting into a vehicle, possibly a gray CX 3 Mazda, around 10 p.m. 01.00. The family has said they do not know anyone with this type of vehicle.

“It looks like they probably snuck out of the house and were seen being picked up later,” Shafer said.

Around 1:30 p.m., Erbaugh said police located the children at a residence in the 800 block of East Grande Boulevard, based on a tip they received. The children are reunited with their families.

The police have stated that the case will continue to be investigated.
