***WARNING: Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency in parts of the Western New York, Finger Lakes, Central New York and North Country regions as these areas are set to receive several feet of lake effect snow. Locally, this includes Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties.

***Lake effect snow advisories remain in effect through Friday for the Tug Hill region and the Old Forge/Western Adirondacks region.

***A travel advisory remains in effect for all of Lewis County until further notice.

Closures, cancellations and delays from 15.05

Adirondack CSD: No after school activities.

Beaver Falls Library: CLOSED.

Beaver River CSD: Dismisses early at 12:40 PM No Afternoon Pre-K or BOCES; tonight’s vote on the capital project will be rescheduled for sometime in January or February.

Denmark’s City Clerk’s Office: CLOSED.

Howard G. Sackett Technical Center: No afternoon BOCES.

Jefferson Community College: CLOSED.

Lewis County Offices: All Lewis County offices CLOSED at 14.00 for non-essential personnel. Works virtually from 2:30 p.m

Lewis County OFA: Meal locations in Copenhagen, Croghan, Lowville and Harrisville CLOSED.

Lewis County Public Transportation: The JCC Connector Route and Fort Drum Circuit Route will not operate today due to weather.

Loony Goose Gastropub: CLOSED.

Lowville Academy: Early dismissal at 12:35pm No Afternoon Pre-K or BOCES; The third and fourth grade Christmas concert tonight will be rescheduled.

Opportunities Knocks Thrift Store (New Bremen): Closes at

South Lewis CSD: No after school activities; tonight’s concert will be moved.

Town of Lowville Court: CLOSED. All cases will be moved to 9 January 2025 at 4 p.m

Town of Watson Justice Court: CANCELED.
