Kristen Doute Reacts to Ex James Kennedy’s Domestic Violence Arrest: ‘Finally’

Kristen Doute doesn’t hide her feelings after James Kennedy’s arrest.

Doute, 41, who dated her Kennedy between 2014 and 2015 following her split from Vanderpump rules‘ costar Tom Sandoval, shared a post on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, December 12 following the news that Kennedy, 32, had been arrested in Burbank, California following a 911 call about an argument between him and a woman.

“FINALLY.” Doute wrote when she reshared a post from a Bravo fan page that showed the headline of a TMZ story that revealed Kennedy had been arrested at his home after someone allegedly saw him get physical with an unnamed woman during an argument.

Authorities did not see any injuries when they arrived at the scene, the outlet reported, but he was arrested and released on $20,000 bail.

Burbank Police confirmed to PEOPLE that Kennedy was arrested at the home on Tuesday, December 10 around 11:30 p.m. “in reference to an argument between a male and a female.”

“The investigation determined that it was a domestic incident that led to (Kennedy’s) arrest,” a police spokesperson told PEOPLE. “(Kennedy) was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and later posted bail. Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s office.”

It’s unclear if the woman in question was the DJ’s girlfriend Ally Lewber – who he’s been dating since January 2022 – but the pair had been together earlier in the evening at Kathy Hilton’s annual holiday party.

PEOPLE has reached out to Kennedy for comment.

A source told PEOPLE that the couple spent much of the night apart and did not show much affection towards each other.

The Vanderpump rules Alun allegedly acted “super aggressive all night long” at the holiday party on Tuesday, an insider told PEOPLE.

“He was acting so erratic, running back and forth to the bar and body checking people along the way,” the insider said. “He seemed intoxicated. Spent the evening mostly alone, but when he did talk to people he seemed irritated and rude.”

In addition to Doute and Lewber, Kennedy has previously been romantically involved with his ex VPR costs Raquel Leviss. He was engaged to Leviss, 30, for seven months in 2021, but they called off their engagement after five years of dating in December 2021.

Leviss then made headlines when it was revealed that she and Sandoval were having an affair when Sandoval was dating her longtime boyfriend and colleague Vanderpump rules star Ariana Madix.
