The Indiana (11-1) and Purdue (1-11) football programs finished the 2024 regular season at opposite ends.

IU left no doubt Saturday night with a 66-0 victory over the Boilermakers. Fans of both schools had plenty of emotion after the latest iteration of the Old Oaken Bucket.

Here’s some social media reaction after Indiana beat Purdue.

After the win, IU fans were happy with how their season has gone. Some are ready to College football playoff. The Hoosiers not in it yet, but they have a good shot as things stand now.

Purdue fans, on the other hand, are not happy with second-year coach Ryan Walters. Some don’t want to see Walters on the sidelines in 2025.

Other fans didn’t like Indiana scoring 66 points against Purdue. While holding a 38-0 lead, IU faked a punt on fourth down. The Hoosiers went on to score a touchdown. Some on social media didn’t like that move by IU head coach Curt Cignetti.
