Tubi’s Sidelined: QB and Me Star Noah Beck Says Costar Siena Agudong Made Her Acting Debut ‘Easy’

NB: I was just so curious about everything on set, as just a fan of movies and this space and (as) someone new to acting. It was like we showed up on set and it felt like summer camp. I was just learning and being such a sponge and thinking, “What’s this doing? What’s this doing?”

One of my jobs was to develop chemistry with someone I had just met, which is not an easy thing to do. But she made it easy and it was just the best time and we had a great time. And you talk about the playful banter and all that we see on screen, but off screen there was probably more of that and I had the best time. And if she were out of the room, I would say more, but because she is here in front of me, I cannot.

TV: Siena, what was it like getting to work with Drew Ray Tanner? I really enjoyed the brother/sister dynamic and the emotional connection. You were great together on screen.

SO: I just adore him. He was so much fun to work with. I’ve said it to his face, but I was so intimidated by him when I first met him. But he brings so much and working with him on screen felt like I didn’t have to do anything. I really just felt like I was in it with him. We just connected on a very emotional level. We had a lot of great scenes together where we got to play and he just brought so much creative juice and would throw things at me and I loved it. He just wanted to play. Yes, he is a great actor and person.

TV: Noah, you arrived on this project with a large following and fan base. How has it been navigating this new craft while also knowing you have so many people watching you? Are you excited for your followers to watch this movie?

NB: Terrifying. It’s terrifying. It’s still crazy to hear that coming out of your mouth! It’s like, it’s just never going to sit for me, the fact that I have this following and these eyes on me. But more than anything, I had fun shooting this. I am so proud of it. And as long as it turns out—and I’ve seen the movie several times now, and it turns out—I’m just so excited for the world to get it. It feels like they already have it because we’ve been promoting it for (a while)… But with the number of times I’ve seen it, I’m like, “You guys are missing out.”
