NASHVILLE – Tennessee football can enter the College Football Playoff with one win over Vanderbiltbut it is not an easy task.

The Vols (9-2, 5-2 SEC) and Commodores (6-5, 3-4) meet in their annual rivalry game at FirstBank Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 CT/noon ET and airs on ABC.

Tennessee is ranked No. 8 in the CFP poll heading into this regular season finale, so a win should clinch a spot in the 12-team playoff. There’s even a chance the Vols could host a first-round game.

But Vanderbilt, already bowl eligible, looks to derail the Vols from their playoff path. Quarterback Diego Pavia and the Commodores have already defeated Alabama and nearly beat Texas this season, and they would love to spoil Tennessee’s season.
