TNT broadcast the Los Angeles Lakers’ matchup with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Cup.

Phoenix ran out 127-100 winners against their Western Conference rival.

Kevin Durant had 23 points for the Suns, while LeBron James finished with 18 for the Lakers.

But Barkley had apparently chosen both men to go higher in his selections.

The postgame Inside The NBA show began with Barkley being jeered by fans.

A tweet was posted on the screen claiming he had fallen to 0-6 in his picks.

Host Ernie Johnson attempted to introduce his co-stars to television viewers.

Johnson and Barkley were joined by Shaquille O’Neal and guest Jalen Rose, who sat in for Kenny Smith.

But Barkley still seethed from the fan jibes mocking his choice.

“Is it my fault LeBron is a bum?” he laughed.

Shaq ‘hopes something can be arranged’ for Inside the NBA future, but insists he wasn’t upset or frustrated by the decision

“Everybody did well except LeBron. Is it my fault LeBron can’t get 25 points?

“You may be the greatest scorer in NBA history, but you can’t give me 25 points?”

Johnson chimed in to point out that Durant didn’t score 25 points either.

“Two bums right there,” Barkley said. “They can’t give me 25 points.”

Chuck then tried to get Shaq on board.

New rights agreement

The NBA signed an 11-year deal with three networks for the league’s rights starting in the 2025-26 season.

And there will be no games on TNT for the first time since the network launched in 1988.

The Walt Disney Company will continue to air the 80-game regular season league across ESPN and ABC.

They will also show about 18 first- and second-round playoff games, a Conference Finals series in 10 of the 11 years, and remain the home of the NBA Finals.

NBC returns as the NBA broadcaster for the first time since 2002.

The network will show up to 100 matches per season across its channels and Peacock streaming service.

It will also be home to NBA All-Star and show approximately 28 playoff games from the first and second rounds.

NBC will air a Conference Finals Series for six of the 11 years, rotating with new broadcaster Amazon Prime.

Amazon will show 66 NBA games during the regular season, including one on Black Friday.

The streaming service is also home to the final stages of the NBA Cup and the entire Play-In tournament.

Prime will also air about a third of the playoff games in the first and second rounds.

“Can you believe it Shaq?” he asked.

“These two guys can’t give me 25 points and I’m a bad gambler.”

But Johnson interjected, telling Barkley, “You’re 0-6, you’re a loser.”

Inside the NBA negotiated a deal to save the show despite TNT losing the rights.

It will be licensed to ESPN starting next season and continue with its current stars.
