Las Vegas festival canceled in 2025 due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A Las Vegas festival to be headlined by heavy metal legends Metallica and rock icons Linkin Park in 2025 has been canceled, promoters announced Friday.

Sick New World was originally scheduled to be held at the Las Vegas festival site on April 12, 2025. Now, the show will not go ahead due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

According to to the festival websitethe festival “encountered unforeseen circumstances that (they) are unable to overcome for next year’s show.”

The festival did not explain what those circumstances were or how they led to the festival being cancelled.

Sick New World added that they extended a “heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated SNW fans who made plans to join us for another cultural celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative and heavy music.”

Those who have already purchased tickets to the festival from Front Gate Tickets will receive a refund within 30 days, the festival said.
