Jodie Turner-Smith took her 4½-year-old daughter to see ‘Wicked’ on Broadway

Jodie Turner-Smith was excited to show her daughter Evil – although she didn’t quite understand the plot.

Tuesday 26 Nov. The agency actress, 38, appeared in an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and recounted how she had recently taken her 4½-year-old daughter Juno to watch Evil on Broadway.

“And you took her to see Evil? On Broadway, not the movie,” Fallon asked.

“I did. Look, I know she’s a little young, but I just wanted to Evil is now becoming zeitgeist in a whole different way now that Cynthia Erivo has undoubtedly killed this performance,” Turner-Smith explained. “And I just thought, ‘I just need her to take her acting in before the movie. .’ ”

“She had a lot of questions,” she added jokingly.

Fallon asked if Juno had ever seen the original film, The Wizard of Ozbefore, to which Turner-Smith said she hasn’t.

“She must have been like, ‘What’s going on?’ Oh my God,” Fallon laughed. “She didn’t even see The Wizard of Oz?”

“She has never been seen The Wizard of Oz. But I just love Evil so much, and it’s my favorite musical,” continued Turner-Smith. “And I love it. I was eager. I was eager. I wasn’t the only one with a 4½-year-old in there.”

In June, Turner-Smith appeared in an episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna and opened up about how becoming a mother to her daughter has affected her confidence.

When asked what becoming a mother has done for her, Turner-Smith was quick to share that motherhood is one of her “favorite things”.

“Honestly, that’s my favorite thing about myself being that girl’s mom. I’m just so grateful that she chose me to be her mom; that I got to have that gift in life,” Turner-Smith said . “It’s my favorite thing. I mean, I just, it’s an honor.”

“I feel like it was our birthright to mother — whether we bring our children or not, I think it’s a woman’s birthright. We have space for them around us. It’s changed everything about me. It’s only enriched me .It’s shown me, No. 1, how powerful I am. Like, phew!
