Roman Reigns vows to destroy Seth Rollins every chance he gets

As Roman Reigns and the Bloodline sought a fifth member for this year Survivor Series: WarGamesSeth Rollins made it clear that he wanted no part of the team. On a section of RawRollins boldly declared, “The next time I’m in the ring with Roman Reigns, it’s going to be stomping my head in the ground. Never again in my life will I hang with Roman Reigns.”

Unsurprisingly, Reigns feels the same way. In an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy TrainaReigns addressed his brute WrestleMania chair shot to Rollins. When asked if it was a callback to Rollins’ betrayal of The Shield, Reigns didn’t hold back: “Anytime I get a chance to screw him, I take it.”

In June 2014, Rollins brutally betrayed Reigns and Dean Ambrose to join Triple H and advance his career. He attacked Reigns from behind with a chair before turning on Ambrose. Rollins’ actions devastated fans and marked the violent end of WWE’s most successful trio. From his character’s perspective, Reigns revealed how this incident changed him.

“He’s a constant reminder and a lesson to myself about who you can trust and how to trust them, and if you can’t, how to keep them. And that’s where I like to keep him: a chair length away,” Reigns said.

Despite his on-screen animosity towards Rollins, Reigns called 2012 his The Survivor Series debut alongside Rollins and Ambrose, the most special moment in the event’s history. He acknowledged other iconic The Survivor Series debuts, such as The Undertaker’s in 1990 and The Rock’s in 1996. Still, he emphasized that The Shield’s arrival changed the game.

“I would say, based on how it all shaped up, The Shield debut was one of the biggest transitional situations where three young talents came in and took the company by the scruff of the neck, and that’s what you have today,” said Reigns.

With Ambrose thriving as Jon Moxley in All Elite Wrestling, a reunion of The Shield remains uncertain. For now, this much is certain: the rivalry between Rollins and Reigns is far from over.

“Anytime I have a chance to pull the trigger on him, I do,” Reigns said.
