3,000 people affected by delay in shingles vaccine rollout

Manx Care hopes to restart the vaccination program in 2025

Around 3,000 people on the Isle of Man have been affected by a delay in the roll-out of the shingles vaccine.

And it is not yet clear how the vaccine program – which is hoped to be restarted next January – will be funded in the long term.

Manx Care stopped giving the vaccination in April last year, following a change in the recommended vaccine, and any remaining stock has now been used up.

The new vaccine has a significantly higher costs.
