Strictly Come Dancing fans are calling for the judge to be sacked after ‘unprofessional’ comments

Strictly Come Dancing fans have called for one of the show’s judges to be sacked after they made comments following a dance-off

Strictly Come Dancing lovers were left fuming and calling for a judge to be given the boot after allegedly ‘over-scoring’ a mediocre performance during the much-loved Blackpool week.

During tonight’s performance, Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal took to the dance floor with a Cha Cha, set to Right Said Fred’s hit I’m Too Sexy, with Pete wearing figure-hugging pink PVC pants.

Craig Revel Horwood was not afraid of his criticism, blasting Pete’s routine as “very uncoordinated” and remarking “you were behind musically” before handing out a paltry four points.

Both puzzled and amused, Motsi Mabuse admitted: “I loved it for all the wrong reasons. I wanted to watch it over and over again. I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on here.”

In stark contrast, Shirley Ballas saw plenty to applaud, rewarding Pete and Jowita with a high five for him: “You had a very good isolation, you had a very good neckline …. Your hips swung left and right. “, reports The Express.

She enthused in her feedback: “It was very entertaining. I don’t think I’ll forget this night for a long time.”

Disgruntled fans took to social media in droves to express their dismay at Shirley, accusing her of turning a blind eye to Pete’s mistakes.

A deluge of tweets like: “Need Shirley to leave after this series. So f****** unprofessional. Pete gets ‘very entertaining’ for it.”

Another tweet expressed the disappointment: “Shirley is losing all credibility as a judge.”

Some viewers expressed displeasure with Shirley Ballas’ judgmental style on a popular dance show, with remarks such as: “No matter what Pete does, Shirley praises him.”

Another said: “I need Shirley’s head judge status removed.”

Speaking to The Sun about her future with the show, Shirley Ballas has declared her dedication to staying that long BBC wants her and says, “You know, I’m not going anywhere as long as the BBC wants me.”

She also defended her judging ethos: “I judge without fear or favour. I’m just someone who sits in that chair as head judge to stay in my lane and judge the dance – legs, feet, body coordination, synchronization and chemistry between the leader and the follower.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
